I was born extremely nearsighted and required a -10.00 lens to see. Without the glasses I could only see faces at one foot away! I was truly dependent on my glasses to function in life. I eagerly monitored the development of LASIK surgery for vision correction for at least the last fifteen years until I found the perfect combination. Dr. Edward Rashid was the best trained surgeon I could find and he has the most state of the art equipment. I completely trusted Dr. Rashid to do this procedure for me without having complications and to achieve the best results possible. My initial exam began very promptly and was extremely thorough. The staff was exceptionally nice and answered all my questions. Dr. Rashid personally examined my eyes and impressed me once again with his straight forward honesty and integrity. I chose Dr. Rashid because of his experience and reputation. I heard he had the Intralase and the Allegretto lasers, I also knew that he’s the Spurs ophthalmologist. During my exam he was candid about my options and made sure that the right laser was used for my case to correct for the right priorities. I can see inside my shower now, plus I can wear sunglasses! I like my new look!

Your technical staff is outstanding; Paula gave the best exams I’ve ever had. Dr. Rashid was very interested in the past history of my vision. He refused to do the LASIK until he was satisfied I was a good candidate. I have never seen better! In less than 48 hours the quality of my life has improved dramatically. It’s amazing. The most obvious improvement is my driving, I can judge distances better and I feel more confident. I wanted LASIK because I wanted to see. Even with glasses I only corrected to 20/25 in one eye and 20/40 in the other. I’m now 20/20 in both and never have to worry about being stranded by lost or broken glasses.
